Re: Do You Go Shopping in Rummage Sales?
Many of the best deals I've gotten have been from yard sales and flea markets. But these are usually those that are more of accessories and non-electrical appliances. Whenever it comes to our camping gadgets and electrical appliances in our camper, I'd still prefer to buy them brand new.

Same here, padmej! I learned that the hard way after I bought this really neat looking coffee pot in a yard sale once. Got it at a really good price. I think we paid just about $10 or less than that. It was working fine for a while, but after about just a month or two, it started faltering. Since it's no longer covered with a warranty, we had to pay for the repair and stuff. Ended up costing us much more than if we just bought a brand new one from Amazon or eBay

I've looked at a few. Call me unlucky or picky, but so far, haven't really found something that caught my eye to get....at least not yet.

There seems to be a skill involved when trying to buy things from those places. Fortunately for me, my wife has mastered it.

It happens. Even though we go out and hunt in these sales, we don't always end up buying all the time.
