Camp Store
Hello all, I am in the process of buying a campground. (a life long dream finally coming true) My thoughts today turned to the camp store and I figured the best thing was to ask fellow campers "what do you look for in a camp store? what kind of items do you wish more places carried? or what kind of things have you forgotten ay home and wished the store had? thanks for your answers and help and if you have any advice I would love to hear it too. happy camping

For me some times I just forget the little things. Some spices or even horse radish for our Sunday Bloody Mary's. Some canned goods for backup. Or boxed rice mixes. I know that you can't carry every thing! Some RV parts like light bulbs, power and water parts for hook up's. Coleman replacement parts like lantern mantels and globes. Or the one pound propane bottles. A lot of the table top gas grills need them as well as the stoves and lanterns. I hate having to run into town to find a Hardware store for some tools that I don't have with me to fix something little that broke.
But most of all if you can? Beer & Wine. We one time stayed at a campground that sold many of the local wines and brews to showcase what the area had to offer. It worked out well for the campgrounds and gave the winery and brewers some more people to sell to. I know we bought some at both.

Good Luck!! I know that it has been a long time dream of mine to own and run a campgrounds.

Re: Camp Store
I think the standards, bread, milk, eggs, beer/wine, soda or pop if you prefer, paper towels, toilet paper, smore fixins, along with the small RV repair parts, light bulbs, butt connectors, etc.,
oh, don't forget the Ice Cream.
Your dreams vary greatly from mine, i've NEVER wanted to own/run a campground, really rather be using a campground than being tied down. But good luck with your dream.
