|I would have to say after all the many years of camping with family and friends in Europe and in the United States. The most cherished camping experience would have to be all the times that I spent camping with my dad. He started me out when I was only four years old sleeping in a tent during the summer in our backyard. That's when I got hooked on all of this camping stuff! Our family went to Europe and we bought a VW Camper and camped in 21 countries for nine months. And all the things we saw and did while there.
Then when I was in my early teen's and made it as far as I could with Boy Scouts. My father came home one night with used Army surplus jungle hammocks. So off we went that next week for what my dad called: " A Walk In The Woods" And that is just what it was. We lived on the edge of a small town in up state N.Y. and packed our backpacks up and off him and I went for three weeks off into the woods camping not knowing where we were heading off to? Yep it was fun alright. And that is it right there! My most cherished experience camping!
My father is gone and I am older now just hit sixty! But still camping in an RV now but still enjoying the hell out of it!
