Storing full or empty
Hello to all,

I wondered what would be best to do?

If you know the camper won't be used for a few weeks, or maybe months, do you store the camper with a full fresh water tank or do you empty it? That's when you know it won't be freezing, ofcourse.

I think both have advantages, but to be honest: I don't have a clue.

I think:
* full because the inside tank surface is closed off from air and I think you need air to grow things in the tank?
* empty because otherwise the water will get "old" if you fill it?

What do you think?

Re: Storing full or empty
I keep water in my tank all the time. Never know when I would need it. I change it periodically and use a little clorine when I add water. Having motorhomes since 1981 I have never had a problem with contamination. The motorhome is always ready to travel.

Re: Storing full or empty
I always keep the hot water tank full and about 10 or 15 gallons in the fresh water tank when not winterized. Never know when somebody will need to use the bathroom, wash hands, etc.

I make sure to cycle the old water out and replace with fresh about once a month.
