Parents that allow their kids to roam around without any supervision and then create a scandal about threatening to sue the park when their kids get hurt.

I completely agree with you on that. I remember this one instance when we went to a camping trip in Fort Wilderness. We got woken up by this commotion and saw this lady in a screaming monologue with another camper in his truck. Not really sure what all the racket was about, but I think it was something to do with the guy almost running over her kid playing in the middle of the street. This happened like about 7 or 8 in the morning. At first, I was concerned about the welfare of the kids since we were camping there with two young kids too. Then it just dawned on me, what in the world were the kids doing in the middle of the street in the first place, and where was the mother? It was just crazy!

For me, it would be those that act as though they would die if they don't go and update their status in Facebook all the time. You can't seem to talk to them and it's like they couldn't function. Worst part is that they will hound you like anything to get their phone or tablet charged so that they can continue updating. I mean, come on! You camp to enjoy the outdoors and each other's company. Besides, you can do those stuff when you get back. What's a few days?

Re: Camping Pet Peeves
I have an issue with people cutting though my campsite! I have seen this over and over. More than once we were camped on the lake front and people come over and start fishing in our site. When you say anything they get mad and cuss you out. One even cussed my teen DD. That was when she left hurriedly while I was behind her. Had some kids run up over our picnic table while we were sitting at it and just keep running. One that cut under our awning and her child stopped to play with our grandchild's toys and the mother kept going and yelling at her that she would leave her. The father had to come get her and explain to his wife how it wasn't right. It takes all kinds and I have met most of them.

Had a few bouts with a lot of campers like that as well, anno. Really annoying to see how some campers seem to act as if they own the place.
