Re: Nasty Encounters with Other RVers
I have to agree. If they are not doing anything other than just walking around, it should have been something that would have been better to have just let them be.

Re: Nasty Encounters with Other RVers
Look at the bright side. When they wake up tomorrow, they will see each other. That should be punishment enough. We make it a habit to never walk through somebody else's site. Sounds like maybe these folks were long term campers. Sometimes these folks resent short termers coming into "their" park and treat them like outsiders. Being friendly comes naturally to most of the RV'er we have contact with. I once had a campground owner be real nasty to me. There were two sites side by side, one 50 amp and one 30 amp. The 30 amp was already rented and they charged me an addition $3.00 FOR MY SITE. When went to hook up the other camper had hooked up to the 50 amp connection (they were on the same pole.) They were not there and I didn't want to disconnect them and they had no adapter in site. I asked the owner swap them out with one of his adapters. He said it was standard practice for the person arriving first to get their choice of connections. I asked why did he charge me $3 more. He got nasty, but finally swapped out the plug, It was hot and I could use the 50 amp. My two AC's take 26 amps when they both startup.

Wow! I'm surprised that you actually decided to still stay despite of that. Quite frankly, I don't find the reason that the site was already rented out to charge you an additional $3 for it. Combine that with the nasty attitude? Yeessh! If that were me, I'd have turned around and look for another campground.

Re: Nasty Encounters with Other RVers
It was our second site as we had to move after several days due to being in high season. It was in Berlin, OH in Amish country right during the busy season. We had stayed at this campground several years before and love the area. I wasn't going to allow this jerk to ruin my remaining time. If I left, he would have rented it to somebody else immediately. It is also a no credit card campground. The owner is Mennonite and does cash only which he already had. They had a 3 days for $75 plus tax. When I wrote it up on RVPark reviews.com, I noticed others had had trouble with him also.

Re: Nasty Encounters with Other RVers
Sadly, it is the people that are in-charge and not the campground that can be the undoing of a lot of campgrounds. Over the years, we have scratched off a lot of campgrounds from our favorites list because they changed the manager and other staff members. It ranged from the campground not being cared for the same way the previous manager and staff did to those kinds of managers and hosts.
