Of course we have, thats what runs the fridge when traveling, the only precaution is to turn the fridge off when refueling.

Your supposed to turn it off if going through the tunnels on I95.
We just traveled from FL to NY, missed the turn off to the bridge at Baltimore and went through the tunnels without turning it off. (no problems)

Re: Travel with propane on?
We traveled with one of the two propane tanks on. And when the camper and truck flipped over, the firemen were in a panic because they were afraid there was damage to the gas lines and that it would blow up. They had to climb on top of the wreck with some machine to get in the camper and see if there was a gas leak. Of course the camper had landed on the side where the propane tanks were (tanks were in their own cubby hole, not out on the tongue)

So, yes, travel with one tank on, less chance of kaboom that way if there is an accident!
