I agree on Apple and Hickory. I have used Maple with Pork, it was ok.
Also, try dried grapevines with fish. My local winery will offer them for free when pruning their vineyards.
White grapes give a nice flavor to trout. Red grape added to hickory wood adds a nice flavor to beef
Grapevine can also be added to the grill as well
We actually got to try the red grapes and hickory to BBQ some ribs. It was just awesome! Thanks so much for sharing about it.
