watsonthomasc wrote Sorry to hear of your troubles. Of Course they should have told you the deposit was refundable or not, then there wouldnt be a problem. At our campground we do require a one night deposit for holiday weekends. If you pay in full and give us at least 48 hour notice, all but the one night will be refunded. You have to understand that we may or may not be able to re-book your campsite. Remember that we have probably had a few reservations that we have had to turn away and now they have most likely made other plans.
We are not far from this campground, in Andalusia, Al. Look us up at www.shacrvpark.com |
That sounds really promising, watsonthomasc. But of course, as long-time RVers, we've had our share of campgrounds promising that same thing only to be left disappointed. Yes, we understand that the chances that it would be hard to rebook the campsite. But on our part as customers, when we made the reservation and placed the payment, we expected that the campground delivers. However, if the campground is far from what was shown in the website, the facilities are not working, dirty and the staff is providing anything but service, we as customers, should be given the option to get our money back. Come to think of it, if your campground and service is really as good, I don't see why you'll have a problem to rebook it. Just my two cents. |
