KOA in Spokane Valley, Washington is a NIGHTMARE
They do not tell you that a train track runs alongside the campground. The tracks are hidden in overgrown weeds, no more than 30 feet from the tent sites. But at 1 or 2 am, you will find out the hard way. It sounded like the train was going to crash through our tent, with the train horn nearly giving us a heart attack. Then again at 3 am, and 5 am. In the morning, we wanted a refund or at least an explanation. But the manager stood there like a dummy shrugging his shoulders and telling us he couldn't do anything about it. Horrible campground with no-class management. Avoid this place at all costs.

That sounds horrible. Sorry you had to go through that. You should have gotten a refund no matter what. We will def keep this in mind next time were in the area.

Yes, I agree. That is an awful way to wake up. I would have threatened them haha.

We had a similar experience in a campground in Thermopolis, WY. Didn't bother DW and I enjoyed it, having grown up near tracks.
