Natchez Trail
Has anyone been here? We're planning a road trip here next week and would really want to know what to expect and suggestions on places where to stay.

Re: Natchez Trail
We drove the entire length last summer from south going up north. It's a great route! The roads get a bit busy towards Tupelo and Jackson and it can get quite bumpy. But once you reach Jackson, it's smooth sailing. I'd suggest to pick up this book Guide to the Natchez Trace Parkway by F. Lynn Bachleda before you go. I found this book in the library and took it with us on our trip. Lots of great ideas there.

Make it a point to eat at the King's Tavern while you're in Natchez. Walk through the house part of the tavern to learn a bit of its history. Natchez has got a lot of stories to tell.

Re: Natchez Trail
Awesome drive! Saw a lot of deer and turkey along the way. Smooth road so you can enjoy a really relaxing drive. Make sure that you stop and check out the Meriweather Lewis gravesite and the history exhibit. Both are along the trail.
