canoeing + everglades = alligators ????  
I just read your article about Canoeing in the Everglades, don't you think you might meet alligators in these areas ?
Im not familiar with Florida so Im not really sure about it !!

My daughter lives in Venice FL and canoes in the Mayakka River and she sees gators all the time. She says that they don't bother you but I'm not going with her to find out.
