Does a Stage II Fire Restriction incl. grilling?
This may be a silly question, but (I suppose because of the wildfire currently raging below in Colorado) there is a Stage II Fire Restriction in and around Vedauwoo in WY. I'm planning a short tent-camping trip and since I wouldn't be able to have a real fire, thought maybe I could still use a grill at a pay sites. Anyone know if a stage II fire restriction includes grilling in a permanent grill?

Your safest bet is to ask the local ranger or park manager. I'm guessing that a stage 2 fire is an open fire of some sort.

Welcome to the forums, chey!

Just checked the restrictions, and it allows you to have an open fire under a grill. You can check out the entire list of do's and don'ts on the Stage II Fire Restriction at the USDA Forest Service website.

No open fire, except when using a petroleum stove, grill, or lantern with a buffer cleared of all vegetation on all sides for at least three feet.
