Where Do You Get Your Camping Gear?

I usually get mine from REI, but I'm really quite surprised that some of my friends manage to get their camping stuff in places like Walmart for a fraction of what I'd spend. So, now I'm curious (and partly to help widen my shopping places list), where do you get yours?
