How Long Do Battery Powered Fans Last?
We normally camp using a trailer but we were thinking of doing a bit of tent camping later this year just for the fun of it. It's been a while, and it would be really nice to do it again.

My question is about those battery powered fans. Found a few cheap ones that run on 4 D-cell batteries. But I'm wondering how long will they really last. Many of the descriptions I've seen have them lasting up to 36 hours, which I somehow find it hard to believe. I don't want to get something cheap and then have to wake in the middle of the night just to change the batteries.

Has anyone tried these? What models would you recommend?

We use a Coleman ceiling fan with an LED light. For as long as you don't keep the light on, it can continue on running for two nights straight.

X2 with the Coleman fan. Have used the few times that I've gone tent camping. Like what Alban said, it can last for two nights in a row without having to change battery just as long as you don't use the LED light. It's quite cheap too.

I've used an O2 fan during my camping trip. Worked really well for me so far. No problems waking in the middle of the night to replace the batteries.
