It's that time of the day; time to go back to your RV or campsite and call it a night. Time to get the fire ready, pull out the chairs, and enjoy time with your loved ones. How can this night get any better? By bringing out that bag of marshmallows, chocolate and Graham Crackers you've been waiting all day for.
But wait! While s'mores are the time honored classic treat for the seasoned camper, sometimes we want to try something different and exciting on our road trips. That's why the team here, at CampingRoadTrip.com have decided to share with you our twists on this classic tradition: we've pimped our s'mores!
We've got s'mores for everyone! S'mores for those who love fruits, those who want something healthy, and for those who the most mouth filling experience possible.
Tanushree added strawberries to her s'more. The tartness of the juicy strawberry really brings out the flavors of the Hershey's Milk Chocolate. A bottle of red wine is the perfect complement to this Chocolate S'more-berry!
The sweet and tangy flavors of blackberries make Jeanette's Blackberry S'mack-berry a perfect snack near any campfire. One bite into the scrumptious blackberry, marshmallow, chocolate, graham cracker goodness and you're taste buds will be screaming for more!
Julian's Less is S'more approach is the perfect camping treat for those campers who are watching their calories. What more do you need besides a marshmallow browned to perfection? Leave out the Graham Crackers, chocolate and enjoy your s'more the way you like it!
Looking for a way to eat healthy without sacrificing tradition? Brent understands; he's created a s'more that is high in fiber and vitamins - the S'moatmeal Raisin! Place that perfectly browned marshmallow on top of your chocolate and graham cracker, sprinkle a little bit of oatmeal raisin cereal over the top and you've got yourself a guilt-free snack!
If you're looking for divine chocolatey goodness then Timothy's Reese's Peanut Butter S'mup is the one for you! This mouth filling s'more leaves little room for more. It's full of gooey flavors, with a warm marshmallow melting between two Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in between your sweet Graham Cracker.
At the center of Amy's rendition of this classic outdoor snack is the smooth flavor of banana! Slice your bananas diagonally so that they sit neatly across your marshmallow. Create a mouth blowing contrast by allowing the bananas to cool in the refrigerator before you place them on your S'more Banana Please, you'll definitely be asking for seconds!
So take these recipes along on your next camping road trip or get creative and pimp your own s'more. While there will never be another outdoor snack to replace the original classic, it never hurts to try something new!
