The US Tennis Open has come and gone, and what and exciting summer it has been! We've watched prowess on the court and unexpected wins by Del Potro and Clijsters. For those of you who still have the remnants of tennis-fever, here is a chance to hone your skills whilst in the great outdoors:

Here are ten campgrounds and RV parks with tennis facilities to bring out the Federer or Williams in you!

  1. STONE MOUNTAIN PARK, GA - October is a great month to visit Stone Mountain Park. You can start your day with a few rounds of tennis, then head on over to the 7th Annual Pumpkin Festival! Here you can enjoy the Pumpkin Tumbler, join a scavenger hunt, or watch The Great Pumpkin Puppet Parade. But, no matter how you plan your day, be sure to make it to the Lasershow Spectacular!   2. TURKEY RUN STATE PARK, IN - For true forest camping choose Turkey Run State Park. After your game, if you're still standing, try any one of the challenging hiking trails! During the fall when trees begin to turn colors is the best time to visit
  3. WYALUSING STATE PARK, WI - This state park has everything you can ever want in a campground. Volley, slice and spin your way through a game, then choose from a number of activities from kayaking to star gazing. There is always something for you to do!
  4. EAST CANYON RESORT, UT - Let's face it, no one wants to go camping and participate in only one activity. East Canyon Resort understands this and that is why they offer a ton of fun for all - from snowmobiling to shuffle board. There's no need to worry about what to do when you've finished your tennis matches.

  8. BETHPAGE CAMP-RESORT, VA - Take your time to hone your game in this spacious environment. Afterwards, a cruise along Robinsons Creek at the Rappahannock River is a great way to enjoy your evening.
  9. SACRAMENTO RIVER RV PARK, CA - If you're looking for a park that has great views from every turn then Sacramento River RV Park is the place for you! One of the most incredible views is that of the "14,161 foot snow-capped Mount Shasta". After you've recharged from your tennis game a tour of the Lake Shasta caverns is a great way to end your day.
  10. VAGABOND VILLAGE, MN - Work on your serve by day, and relax by a campfire by night. At Vagabond Village you can head on over to the picnic tables that each have fire rings and do just that.
