| Very peaceful in April but fills up |
Though open, no trees, and in the NM desert this was a quiet, friendly campground. We approached Chaco from the East and had to travel a 17 mile dirt road to get there, the last 5 miles on a highly washboard road that forced you to drive slowly, but not bad overall. And now you can reserve a campsite which was not the case 3 years ago. Good move, NPS!
We stayed here in a Tent.
