Location is at the north end of town and near Colorado River. This camp holds plenty of RVS, campers and several cabins. We stayed in a cabin, it had one overhead light and one power outlet, so bring an extension cord and power strip if you want to plug in a lamp, charger or coffee pot. Noise level can rise at times. They have 2 shower houses. The small shower house had a septic smell making it unpleasant. The dumpsters were full on Thursday and overflowing by Saturday. Big RVs and motorhomes were not placed in appropriate sized spots to camp.

This campground has everything a camper and RVer would need. We picked a great spot at the lower tent camping area for the view east to see the monuments. The sun highlighted in the evening, several times, on the walls in this narrow valley for and electrifying effect. A short hike from camp is a hidden arch.

Not only does this campground has everything you need: tables, water nearby and hot showers, there is a most unique trail. Hike up not only to see the colorful petrified tree gutting out of the hilltop, but go the extra mile to see the awesome ravine full of ancient petrified trees scattered about everywhere. Take your time as you walk over, through and around the ancient logs. After the hike, stroll to the Wide Hollow Reservoirs edge for a cool breeze.
