| A nice, suprisingly quiet place. | This campground changed ownership a year or two ago and is now called Little Bear Campground. The new owners have worked hard to make this a nice place. Don't let the proximity to the truck stop and the interstate fool you; our stay was surprisingly quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the staff was friendly.

| An OK place to stay in the area that will not break the budget | This was our third stay in this park. Nice campsites but some are difficult to get the rig into and out of. Full sun or full shade is available. No hookups. reasonable playground for the kids, reasonable bathrooms but no pride was taken in their cleaning.

We enjoyed our stay at this park. We stayed off season (school was still in session) during the week and nearly had the place to ourselves. A good variety of campsites from full sun to full shade. Playground equipement is geared towards younger children. Campground does not offer sewer hookups at the site, but in its place offers a used washwater hookup. Pool was not yet open for the season. My impression of the park is that it caters to families. I would have rated this park higher, but it took the staff a while to get the bathroom cleaned up following the Memorial Day weekend.

| A nice place for a night or a weekend | friendly, efficient staff. Clean grounds, good utilities and wi-fi. What I saw was in good repair. Several sites overlook a pond/lake. Can hear the interstate in the backround. Shaded, level sites. Stayed overnight, but would stay for the weekend...maybe longer if with friends.

| Nice place, and quiet too! | We stayed here overnight as we were rushing thru the black hills to get to our destination. A nice campground worthy of staying a few days. We did not use the pool but it looked well cared for. The kids enjoyed the campground. There was not a lot of flat ground in the part of the campground that we camped in, however there may be another area that is a bit flatter for big rigs. QUIET! no traffic noise! The only downside is the road leading to the park is a bit narrow and winding, but we had no problems. Just a few minutes from Mt Rushmore and the 1880's train...the two things that we wanted to see.

We have stayed here off and on for a couple of decades. It is not flashy, definetly not a resort, but given the area a nice place to stay while visiting the Badlands. The pool is small but a welcome relief from the Badland heat. The trees are starting to be big enough to give shade and of course the full hookups are available. They offer meals which is a plus if you are not interested in cooking. We tried the KOA once several years ago but was eaten alive by the mosquitos. I do not remember ever having a problem with the mosquitos here.
