A really nice county park and great for families.
Nice sites - wooded, dirt and gravel. However dust does get kicked up by passing vehicles. Water hookup on our site wasn't near electric hookup.
Restrooms and showers were clean and modern. Used laundry - very modern and worked well.
Great recreational amenities - really nice lake where you can rent a boat, small climbing wall, kids playgrounds, big pavilion and plenty of picnic areas. Nice trails too.
Bit overpriced should be about $25 per night. We paid $33 as we weren't county resident. It's $30 for them.
We stayed here in a Truck Camper.

Re: Hidden Costs of used RV | Except for the air conditioner most of the repairs are pretty normal. I have done everything there on my truck/trailer except the satellite. I think one of the "hidden" expenses short of a tranny or engine failing is having to buy new tires or a brake job soon after buying a used rig. I think $500 per year average for tires, brakes, batteries, minor repairs and replacing stuff like Tv's, radios, etc. isnt too high. Buying new obviously gives the buyer 4-5 years of not spending much on maintenance.

Re: Hidden Costs of used RV | Looks like some optional upgrades and normal maintenance to me.

Re: Tankless water heater | I have an on demand system in my house and it works great! I would think that the ones for motorhomes use the same principle.

We have a 2004 Aerolite Cub C 160. Our battery does not want to charge when we have the 110 volt plugged in. It should charge the battery. The battery won't charge. We've had the battery checked and they said the battery was good. When we unplug from 110 and go to the 12 volt system the lights won't work. Help!! what can be the problem?? Thanks for any help you can give us.............

Re: Bad roof leak... can anyone advise us on this? | Don't let this freak you out just yet. The real issue isn't the leak but, is there any real water damage. If you don't have any structural damage then you can fix this and get on with your RV-ing. If you can't fix the leak yourself go get a cheap, big, tarp and cover it up till you can get it fixed. My guess is that this can be fixed without major surgery.
Once you get things dried out real good check for soft places, especially from the inside. Generally speaking, if you found this before it was a chronic issue you can get things dried out, fix the leak, and be happy. If the leak has been there for a long time then water damage, structural damage, could be an issue. There is a difference in cosmetic and structural damage. Cosmetic damage is nothing to lose sleep over. Structural water damage can go from fairly simple to total loss.
My guess is, based on the little I gleaned from what you wrote, you probably don't have major structural damage. But, that's hard to say not actually looking at it.
Is your roof fiberglass, metal or rubber? The materials needed for each are different so, don't just go get a tube of silicone till you have researched it. Never use silicone on a rubber roof. It will work on fiberglass but, nothing is permanent. RV roof repairs will need to be redone from time to time. It's just the nature of things. Seams are something that you will always need to keep an eye on.

Re: South of the Border - Worth a Visit? | You're better off driving right on by the place. It's scuzzy, dirty, and low budget. But if that's what you're into then, by all means ;-)

Yes. I've stayed at Frontier Town and it was really fun. They have a waterpark and a free shuttle to and from the beach. Kids love this place.
One thing to keep in mind is that this campground is very popular, so definitely make reservations in advance.
