This campground is close to D.C

We stayed here for a month. It is a litte pricey but probably in line with the area close to Washington D.C. Campground is close to shopping, Interstate I 95 access, the Marine Museum, Quantico, Ft Belvoir. Campground has pull thru sites, pool, camp store and very clean and maintained. We like it here and will stay again when in the area.

Owner's dogs barking loudly when you call for reservation its hard to hear. Also greets you on front porch at check in. Not mean but wants attention.
Owner friendly. Road to campground gravel and uneven. Tree branches need trimming. Campsites uneven couldn't put levelers down. Poorly maintain.

Campground is run down. Not very close to Colonial Beach. The mini-golf was in dire need of work. Overall we weren't impressed and left and went to another campground. (Chesapeake Bay Encore)
Surprised that it was an Encore, Thousand Trails. Called corporate and told them they needed to fix it up it was a bad representation of their park
