| Don't go here!! Bad customer service policies | This is an unusual post for me and we've been camping for 20 years. We are extremely unhappy with this campground. Our group was looking for a full hookup place for the Fall. I called this campground twice mentioning October each time. After our group voted to go here, I made a 3rd call where we were booked. People started calling to reserve. Approximately 6 hrs later, I get a very fluttered call explaining that they don't do groups in October. I get it & I did tell her I was very disappointed & it was an inconvenience (literally that is what I said). Later I thought about it & sent an email wanted to ask if we could book individually. This apparently really ticked off the owner because she doesn't make $$.
We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

| Great park - good for fishing | Florence Marina is a great CG with the rare extras of a GA State Park b/c it has full hookups - that's right - sewer AND cable (some of the sewer hookups were awkward but worked). The CG is nice wooded with pine trees. There wasn't a lot of privacy as the sites were decent spaced but no trees in between but since we camped here as a rally with friends, we didn't mind. The hosts were very nice also. The lake has fishing piers and a marina for boats. The cottages looked to be nice also. This CG is a great place for the fisherman to fish Walter George aka Eufaula lake

We just visited Anastasia for the first time this Spring Brk. We were leary to stay a week since they only have water and electric hookups only(no sewer). We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The park has a paved road w/ gravel/hard sand sites & are very wooded. Some sites appear tight but are deceiving as we were able to fit our 30' into a 20' site w/ no prob. The beach is very close and has a great grill, store, & snack bar. There are lots of covered picnic tables, 2 pavillons, and even a water inlet for water sports. The dunes and views are awesome. The beach is big and there is lots to do from the lighthouse, gator farm, biking, etc.

| Great views, worth the trip | We have visited Black Rock Mountain State Park CG a few times in the Fall. The first time we visited we came in the dark and passed the small road (that looks like an entrance to a neighborhood) a few times pulling the trailer. The road to the top is a steep climb with a 10% grade in approx 2 miles. A strong tow vehicle is needed for this pull if you have any size/weight worthy trailer. There are some tight turns in the CG also which is why they recommend that campers beyond 25ft are too large. We have pulled our 27' camper up it with no issues - the brakes are the way down will be tested as well. Once you get on top of the mountain to the CG, there is quite a view. You will often wake up in the morning to fog - it's like you are in the clo

| Nice weekend stay - great stop-off I-75 | High Falls State Park is a great little park with a man-made water fall. Since they are a state park, they have only electric and water hookups. The river is a great place to wade in the rocks and water. They also have a swimming pool but we haven't ever used it as we like to go in the Spring usually and it's chilly then. The CG is mostly wooded but has a lot of pine trees. The CG is a great visit for a weekend. It is right off I-75 in Jackson, GA. In the area, there is a catfish restaurant that I understand is a good place to eat. Buckner's is a another popular place for down-home southern cooking with a lazy susan buffet style dinner right at your table. A must visit local attraction is Dauset Trail Nature Center. It is free! but they do

Vogel State Park is one of the oldest parks in GA but it is one of our favorites. It is very wooded with fairly flat sites and has a beautiful lake and view. Since it is a state park, it only has electric and water hookups but the bathhouses are pretty clean (one of the bathhouses has the timed water where you press the water nozzle and it stays on for only 30 secs at a time which can be annoying when trying to wash your hair). There are creeks running through the CG with rocks that the kids love to play in. They have putt-putt golf, a swimming beach at the lake, a hiking trail around the lake, etc. There is antique shopping in the area as well as some beautiful waterfalls and mountain rides with great views. Grocery stores are within 15 mi

| Great Fall Park with lots to do | We visited Trackrock CG a few years ago. It is a great place to visit in the Fall. They have full-hookup sites (including sewer and cable). The sites and roads into the campground are gravel and some can be a bit close together but overall it is nice. Most of the sites are wooded and overlook the mountains and pond. They have a fishing pond and a neat playground for the kids. They also have horse stables where you can take a guided ride for a fee. They also have hay rides in theFall, outdoor church on Sundays, and other events. The CG doesn't have online reservations and some times be hard to get on the phone. For reservations, you usually have to send a check via snail mail to reserve your spot. The CG is privately owned and the family is

Black Rock Mtn State Park - Mtn City, GA | We have visited Black Rock Mountain State Park CG a few times in the Fall. There are a couple of flea markets in the area along with some antique and touristy shops in the area. The CG is a GA State Park so they have only water and electric hookups. The bathhouses are clean and the CG is nicely kept. There is also a small lake for fishing. This one is a must visit if you love the mountains and outdoors.

Trackrock - Blairsville, GA | We visited Trackrock CG a few years ago. For reservations, you usually have to send a check via snail mail to reserve your spot. The CG is privately owned and the family is nice. The only thing that we were disappointed in was that we were interested in having a Fall group rally and they required a 3-4 nite stay for October - which seemed a little strict. There is lots to do in the area. A must visit is the old general store, Alexander's which is right on the road before you turn into the CG. The store has everything from staple groceries, shoes, fishing tackle, guns, clothing, and washing machines. It is much bigger than the store front appears. There are also waterfalls and hiking in the area if you are interested. There are also concerts in nearby Hiwassee and the GA Mtn Fair twice a year.
