| Centrally located to all Traverse City activities | Nice park for families. Could not get full hooks, so settled for WE. Sites are all gravel and somewhat unlevel. All have fire rings and firewood sells at the store. There were many activities for the kids and all were well organized. At $40.00 per night I was disappointed that showers were coin-operated. Management is pretty laid back and only necessary regulations are posted.

This is the nicest, friendliest KOA of, or for that matter, all campgrounds we've visited. Plenty to do for everyone and particularly for children. Come see for yourself.

Re: Do You Really Save on Military CGs? | I've read the replys and agree with some and disagree with others. As with camping in general you need to research the subject to find what you want. Camping on military bases can be a pain with possible searches of camper/vehicle, but also offers better security. We stay at two norther Fl MilCamps where one charges $14.00 a night for full hooks and provides free laundry facilities. Another charges $17.00 a night and provides full hooks, free wifi, free laundry facilities and free ice.
