| Great spot near Lake Placid and attractions | North Pole resorts was everything we were hoping for-enough amenities for the kids, with the privacy and cleanliness adults look for. Staff was courteous and helpful, bathhouses were clean and updated. Within walking distance of town beach which has a playground and pavilion. Canoe/kayak launch and rentals on a beautiful river. Gameroom, mini golf and wifi room keep everyone busy, along with kids playground. Tent/popup sites were wooded on resort side, with plenty of privacy. RV sites on this side seemed a bit tight. 100 acres side has trail to Whiteface. Resorts are within 10 minute drive of Whiteface parkway and Santa's Workshop, within 20 minutes of Lake Placid. Only a small mini mart down the street for groceries, but an ice cream stand within 5 minute walk. Would definitely recommend this site to others looking for an Adirondacks experience with nice amenities and views.

First time camping here, most campers have canoes/kayaks since 90% of sites are on the water. We rented on for $20/day, what a beautiful lake. Downsides: Rollins Pond is inside Fish Creek campground, so you drive thru Fish Creek to get to Rollins. This can take upwards of 15 minutes one way. Only showers are at the beginning of the campgrounds, but never had a problem with them being busy. There is a bathroom hut about every 5 sites, so those are easily accessible, same with water. No electricity hook ups available at all. The sites are a good size for a tent, screen house, and car/trailer. Look for bigger sites in higher numbers for more room for trailers/pop ups, etc. Overall a great campground, and easy access to Lake Placid (40 min.) and Saranac Lake (20 minutes.
