This campground is okay for overnight stops or for visiting Oak Ridge. It is clean and well-maintained. It is a bit dated. The pool is clean and it has a nice laundry. There are good full-hookup pull-thru sites. A very limited store. The campground is predominately full of monthly campers, but it is still a good overnight campground. It backs up to the river and has a small boat launch. The entrance is less than 50 feet from the exit ramp off I-40 so it is easy in and out. Nice, clean tent sites in the back on a creek. Good campground for those traveling on motorcycles.

| Very clean KOA, wonderful host | This very nice clean campground recently became a KOA. I would give it 5 stars except I reserve those ratings for campgrounds with extensive amenities. This campground is very clean and very convenient to Nashville. It is an easy 20-minute drive to most of the sites in Nashville. The campsites are easily accessible and have full hookups. The playground is very nice and has lots of equipment. The swimming pool is very clean. There are various games available for kids. The Thursday night dinner and entertainment is fun. There is a very nice laundry and well-equipped store. They provide a van service to downtown Nashville for a fee. I have stayed at all of the campgrounds in Nashville and this one is very reasonably priced. There are sites suitable for all types of camping.

| Great location for tubing the Little River | There are numerous campgrounds in Townsend, TN and all are a bit pricey because of its proximity to Pigeon Forge, TN and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Big Meadow is very clean, has level sites and full hookups. If you go to tube the Little River, this is the perfect location as the River Rats tube rental is adjacent to the campground. You can literally walk to the rental office. Restrooms are new and very clean. It is only about 20 minutes to Cades Cove and 30 minutes to Dollywood. There is no swimming pool.

| Beautiful surroundings, nice swimming pool | As with all Tennessee state parks, this one is in beautiful surroundings. It has cabins, full hookup sites with 50 amp service, an excellent swimming pool free to campers, nice hiking trails, and clean restrooms. There is a nice lake with rental boats. The park is rather isolated, but is otherwise a very nice location. Most of the sites are level with full hookups and can be reserved online. Seniors get a deep discount.

This corps of engineers campground is surrounded on three sides by Cordell Hull lake. It is only about 30 minutes off I-40. The campground is one of the best maintained I have ever experienced in my 40 years of camping. There are over 170 sites with electric and water. Premium sites also have sewer, nice level gravel pads and back up to the lake. There is a nice marina with store and café across from the entrance. Carthage TN is only about 15 minutes away. There is a nice hiking trail and overlooks of the damn. Reservations can be made online in advance. Best of all if you have a national parks senior pass, the premium sites are only $12.50 and others as low as $9 per night. If you bring a boat, there are launch ramps available.

| A great stop-and-go campground | This KOA has full hookup gravel sites that are level. It is on I-65 and a very convenient overnight stop. It is very easy access for large rigs. A camp store with typical convenient items. There is no pool or outdoor activities. I use this as a halfway point between Nashville, TN and Florida. Staff are friendly and helpful

A little confused by previous review. Could be wrong park. This park is one of only a few parks with a perfect 10 rating from Woodalls. Though a bit pricey, this campground is beautiful. It is not on the beach, which is about a mile away. All roads and sites are paved and beautifully landscaped. There are two ultra-clean pools and an exercise room. They have a nice buffet breakfast for $7. All sites have full hookups with many being pull-throughs. There are deluxe big-rig sites that face the lake. A large fenced area is provided for pets to play. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful. The park is gated at night providing extra security. There are paved basketball courts, soccer field and volleyball court. Very, very clean.

| Beautiful with many amenities | This TN state park is a short drive of I-40. Reservations can and should be made online as this park quickly fills with locals in the summer months. Open year-round, it has very level gravel sites with full hookups that can accommodate RV's of all sizes, though rigs longer than 40' may find some of the turns very tight. There are several sites along the creek that are very nice. Tent sites are level and located under the trees. Heated restrooms are open year round as is the lodge with excellent buffets. There are numerous trails and a new mountain bike area. Several historical sites and three lakes for boating, fishing and swimming. A nice 18-hole golf course is also located in the park with club and cart rentals. Tennessee state parks offer discounts for seniors, military and the disabled. This is a perfect place to camp in the early spring.
