| Glorified Mobile Home Park | This is not a RV park. We stayed here one night after locating them through Passport America. Even at 50% off, it's not worth the price. The site they gave us was next to a site that was a literal trash dump in back. Our site was littered with golf wiffel balls and smelled of cat crap. There wasn't even a picnic table let alone a fire pit or any place to deposit trash. We saw several cats roaming around the area. We did see a few motorhomes parked near us, but, seldom saw the occupants. They, like us, must have opted to stay indoors so as not be forced to see and smell the place. We left as quickly as possible the next morning. Don't waste your money, there's a Wal-Mart in the area that would be a better place to park your unit.

After being on the road for almost seven weeks, we decided to wind down at the Straits State Park before heading home. This a lovely park. It sits on the north side of the Mackinaw Bridge, which is visible from the lake shore and a short walk from any campsite. The campsites are maintained and there is plenty of shade due to the abundance of large trees throughout the park. While you do get some road noise due to the close proximity of the bridge traffic, it isn't a major nuisance. Firewood is available on the "honor" system and a large grocery store is only minutes from the park. Downtown St. Ignace is close by. We were there during the last part of August (before Labor Day) and the park was only half full. I would highly recommend this park.

We chose this RV park over the Teddy Roosevelt National Park because the temps were in the 90+ degree range and for the fact that buffalo roam freely through the park and we were traveling with two very inquisitive huskies. We asked for a 30 amp site with some shade. They didn't have any sites with only 30 amps but offered us a site that had hookups for both 50 and 30 amp service and charged us $35 for a 50 amp site. Upon pulling into our site we discovered that the "neighbors" had confiscated our picnic table. We contacted the office and rather than return the table for this site, they brought out a crummier table. There are very few amenities here and camp store severely limited. Will not stay here again.

This small park was pretty much what you expect from today's RV Parks, mostly a parking lot. But what made it nice was the ease of getting to it from I-94, the proximity of town, and the very friendly owners. The sites are fairly level and mostly pull-through. We only stayed one night and as the sites were of adequate length, we didn't even unhook our trailer. I needed to do laundry and was pleasantly surprised by their facilities. Only two washers and two dryers, while not the extra large models, they were all fully functional, clean and fairly new. The washers were only $1.00 per load (cycle takes about 30 minutes) as were the dryers, but that $1.00 got you a full 60 minutes of drying time. The place had a small but clean swimming pool which felt refreshing after doing laundry. Would not want to spend an extended amount of time there, but for a quick overnight stop, it was perfect.

A nice place to spend a couple of days. There's not much grass at the individual sites, but plenty throughout the park. We had a site across from the creek that runs through the park and it helped mask the sounds of the road as they are right off the highway. They accepted my credit card unlike previous rating stated. They were very friendly and did their best to be accommodating. Not too satisfied with laundry facilities. They had only five washers, not very big, and seven dryers if which two had signs saying, "out of order". Prices were a bit higher than in town and the dryers required $1.25 for which you got 45 minutes of dry time which continued timing even when you had the door open to check your clothes or remove items. No way to add a few extra minutes of drying time, you had to pay the $1.25 again. Only room for one person at a time in the building.

This was a nice RV park, as those places go, but I would hardly consider it a "resort." The sites were a bit larger than some we have stayed at, especially in Arizona, but you are back to back with your neighbor. Better keep your shutters closed on the backside of your RV. We traveled with our two Siberian Huskies and one of them was particularly excited to have grass to roll in as opposed to all the pea gravel we found at the other places. Staff was friendly and helpful. As for the facilities, they were too spread out on the grounds to be accessible without having to walk quite a ways or drive. When I needed to do laundry, I opted to drive into town as their laundry required you purchase a $5 voucher just to begin using the washers and dryers and then it was increased by a minimum of $5 increments. I prefer doing it $.25 at a time. The roads in the park could use some grading.

We stayed at this RV park with our two Siberian Huskies in the middle of July, when it's the hottest it can be and the middle of the monsoon season. The park was just about deserted of RVs. The people were so very nice and treated us like we were VIPs. It is a very clean place and very well maintained. Resort is the best way to describe them, they had everything. A spa, hair dresser, clinic, laundry, swimming pool, golf, etc. We saw them drive through the park at regular intervals and the grounds were policed daily. Would like to return when the weather is more tolerable. I would highly recommend this place.

We stayed here in mid-July, it was in the 90s and quite humid. Park is off I-35, exit 177 and far enough away that the road noise is not overwhelming. Clean and appeared to be maintained. Lady who registered us wasn't overly friendly, but that could just have been her demeanor. Pool was nice, clean and we had it to ourselves. They had two, very nice, dog parks, one for small dogs and one for the larger dogs. We were traveling with our two huskies and they really enjoyed themselves there. Sites were reasonbly sized, but not level. A couple of stacks of leveling blocks took care of that. Wi-Fi was a problem, while they had several different stations, none were very strong. Wound up using my cell phone for internet needs. With PA discount (good for two nights), it's an excellent bargain.

| Cheap, good for a quick stop | We were looking for a place just to spend the night as we traveled from San Antonio to Tucson along Hwy 10 and this was a good find. Not too expensive, only $10 with PA discount. Electric, water, and sewer hookup. Site was long enough that we didn't have to unhitch our travel trailer, making for a quick departure in the morning. Next to a truck stop/convenience store and right off exit 212. Not a place you'd want to go for an extended stay, but, perfect for a quick overnight stop.

Park was a big disappointment. Smallest patch of grass at site we've seen. RV's parked very close together. No picnic table provided at site. Never saw a single park personnel, self check-in and out. Very few amenities to speak of. Now I understand why website doesn't show any pictures of actual campsite area, only the big house at front. Will not stay there again.
