This campground has some nice sites but the group site rental can hinder your enjoyment. When we were there it was rented to a family reunion who were cranking the music and singing for several hours, the lower campsites were covered in millions of ants, and the vault toilet needed maintenance, not even mid season and it was already full, the upper campsites are not listed online for reservations at all. This would be a nice place if it were as quiet as the location would suggest being tucked so far from any major city life, but alas not a restful location to camp, the smell of dog poop on a hot day is stifling.

This was a nice campground, off the beaten path, very quiet area, nice tree cover, very clean restrooms and showers. Unfortunately, there are no fire pits or grills, but they do allow propane and charcoal grills to be used, so next time we will go prepared for that; we will be visiting again. They have some spaces that back right up to the forest so you have more privacy. NO TENTS allowed. If you golf, they have a course right across the street. WiFi leaves a little to be desired; it allows you to download mail but forget about any video streaming. Service is just too slow.

I would not go to a KOA to relax, as campsites are on top of one another, but this facility is clean, the managers are friendly, the Wi-Fi service is good, and you can order pizza or wings and they will deliver it to your campsite. Our spot #26 did not have a BBQ, only an on-the-ground fire ring pit (dirt hole with rocks around it), whereas every tent site had their own Weber style small kettle BBQ. Not really fair in that regard since water/ electric sites cost more. But we stayed here to be close to the local Holiday Car Show and we will again. Restrooms and showers were very clean and well-maintained.

This was a nice overall camping experience. We arrived around 1:00 pm and were lucky enough to get their last RV spot. This had grill, campfire ring and shelter over the picnic table, and a fabulous view of the lake. The downside to site #18 where we stayed was the fire pit was all the way on the other side of the site away from everything else. The vault toilets were some of the cleanest we have seen. We did enjoy the day. However, the gnats at night were extreme, also they came out the next morning so we left without having breakfast to avoid more gnats around.
