With Spring Break quickly approaching students are starting to plan their trips. Where should we go? What do we want to do? What can we afford?

Here's an idea - take your party on the road with an RV road trip. RVs allow you the ability to get up and go whenever you like and they are an extremely affordable spring break option. To rent a 5 passenger RV for a week it would cost approximately $31 per person per day, not including gas.

So what are some good destinations to hit on your trip? We have three suggestions, but since you have a party on wheels your options are pretty much limitless. Just be sure not to begin the party until the RV is in park.

RV Gras in New Orleans, LA

The party never stops in New Orleans. New Orleans is a top destination for college students and Spring Breakers. Roam through exciting Bourbon St. and the French Quarter to get a sense of what New Orleans is all about and be sure to indulge in some Cajun food. This place was made for Spring Break!

RV Bay Watch in South Padre Island, TX

Hit the beach in South Padre Island. South Padre has become a premier Spring Break destination and is well stocked with entertainment and activities, including Coca Cola Beach, noted on the Travel Channel as "the largest beach party on the planet" with DJs, contests, giveaways, and a 50,000 watt sound system! Be sure not to miss out on the FREE pancake breakfasts at Beach Reach or the Red Bull Sound Clash. If you're looking to get active you can, rent beach buggies, go kite boarding, surf, or just basted in the sun and work that tan.

RV Tailgating in Daytona Beach, FL

Daytona Beach is the ultimate East Coast Spring Break destination. This beach town offers everything you would expect in a Spring Break experience: pool deck parties, clubs, thousands of partying students in skimpy clothing on the beach, professionally sponsored promo events, and never a dull moment, night or day or anything in between. With over 23 miles of sandy, socially active beachfront it's no wonder Daytona Beach continues to be a Spring Break staple.

Keeping Safe

Spring break should be nothing but a wonderful and exciting experience. With that, it is always important to keep safety in mind. Follow the below guidelines and your road trip should be flawless!

  • Take turns behind the wheel and make sure to have someone keeping the driver company.
  • Use as least SPF 30 sunscreen and be sure to drink water while in the sun.
  • Pace yourself while drinking.
  • Go out with your friends and come home with your friends.
  • Refrain from drinking and driving.

Spring Break in an RV is a great way to experience and see new things with your best friends. You'll discover parts of the country you've never seen before and meet interesting people along the way. They're experiences that will last a lifetime. Here's to a great Spring Break 2012!
