Awesome Beach Camping

The B Loop is the one for tents. We stayed in B4, which is by far the largest & most private site. Sites B5 and B6 are very nice as well. The sites have electricity and water. The bathrooms and showers were cleaned daily. There is a campground store that sells necessary items including firewood. The beach is right across the road and is empty and gorgeous. Fort Pickens is just down the road and was an unexpected treat. You can walk all around and through it. There is also a museum that covers the marine life and history of the fort. The campground was very busy, but surprisingly quiet at night.

We stayed here in a Tent.

Nice park for kids

If you are a history buff, then this is the park for you. Fort Pickens is loaded with history. It is across the bay from Fort Barrancas on the Naval Air Station and protected the harbor at Pensacola. It can be very crowded in the summer months. The sites were nicely spaced. Pensacola Beach is just down the road and has the whitest sugar sand of any beach in the world.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.
