| Great Campsite close to Montauk and The Hamptons! | |
We go out to Cedar Point every year. Great, clean campsite with reasonable size plots. It's a little "communal" as the sites are close to each other but as long as you have courteous neighbors, you're ok. The location is excellent as you can walk from the camp to the beach (no sites ON the beach, but a 5 minute walk) and since it's on the Bay, there's fun swimming for kids, kayakers, fishermen and everyone. You can also go clamming in the bay. It goes out for about 1/4 mile before it gets deep and there's Quahogs all around. We also like to go crabbing out at South Hampton where you can get on the beach after 5pm (needs a resident pass before that). The camp store is very modern for a campsite and the staff is friendly. It's actually $30/night for non-Suffolk County residents and it does fill up during peak seasont.
We stayed here in a Tent. | | Comments (0) |
