This corps of engineers campground is surrounded on three sides by Cordell Hull lake. It is only about 30 minutes off I-40. The campground is one of the best maintained I have ever experienced in my 40 years of camping. There are over 170 sites with electric and water. Premium sites also have sewer, nice level gravel pads and back up to the lake. There is a nice marina with store and café across from the entrance. Carthage TN is only about 15 minutes away. There is a nice hiking trail and overlooks of the damn. Reservations can be made online in advance. Best of all if you have a national parks senior pass, the premium sites are only $12.50 and others as low as $9 per night. If you bring a boat, there are launch ramps available.
We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome. | | Comments (0) |
