State of Disrepair
Scenicroute

Manager nice the one and only time we met her. Owner seemed nice but live in Florida and camp is in NY. Website description stated that new owners purchased camp in state of disrepair and rebuilt it. Also offered shuttle bus to nearby Bethel Woods concerts if have enough passengers. Reality: some campsites were long term campers with run down RV’s, were building decks etc & appliances sitting outside, other rundown trailers for possible future use as shower rooms, existing shower rooms had rotted flooring covered in old linoleum, rusted metal rings for fire, store not worth much and not open Sunday or Monday anyway, shuttle for concerts (if available cost $25!! for a 7 mile ride- failed to mention that detail on website) OR a taxi was offered at $30 one way, truck w/leaky muffler driving thru area late at night and early a.m. - think it was “patrtol”. Felt like we were at an abandoned campground but paid $91/for first night of “carefree” tent camping- price was TOO high for the quality of the site. The road to get to campground was questionable as well. Run down cottages the whole way- very depressed area. Think local zoning/code inspectors would have a field day if they inspected the business. Owners offered free camping in future as apology- nice gesture but would have preferred a partial refund. Not going back to use it.

We stayed here in a Tent.
