July 1, 2013
We stayed here in mid June 2013. The place was so quiet! We loved that! There were not that many sites occupied. All we heard at night were the summer insects. Sites are close together (typical for a KOA). The sites are somewhat wooded (pretty good for KOA). Staff was friendly. Be aware, you will have at least a 45-minute drive to the National Park and Luray Caverns, but we scouted out the other campsites in the area, and if you want quiet, trees, and nature, this is the best one!

We LOVED the chickens (organic pest control)! My son had a blast keeping track of them. Campground was well-maintained (but the trade-off for that is the sound of staff carts and landscaping machinery in the morning). We did not use the restrooms as we stayed in a travel trailer.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.
