This a nice state park. Cottontails, chipmunks, turtles, roadrunners, quails, and woodpeckers are everywhere. But the must is to swim in the giant spring-fed pool. Fish swimming around you. We were there early on a Wednesday so only a few other people were there. It was a little chilly but I went in and it was worth it.
We stayed here in a Tent. | | Comments (0) |

| One of the better known. . . | |
. . .State Parks of Texas, hence often used and fully booked. The great draw here is the swimming pool for all. There is also a nice motel unit and large, canopied picnic benches for protection from the sun. A very pleasant place to stay
We stayed here in a Travel Trailer. | | Comments (0) |

Great water park but the campground has small, close-together sites. Ours had trash left on it. Restrooms are older and in need of repair but kept clean. | | Comments (0) |

| Pleasant break from the desert and the highway | |
That is one tiring drive across west TX in the heat. We decided to pull off the highway and take an overnight break. What a very pleasant surprise for us. Nice rv sites with a picnic table under a canopy. A short walk over to the pool area (what a pleasant surprise for us, cool clear water, and you can swim with the fishes). We will look forward to our next stop at this park.
We stayed here in a 5th Wheel. | | Comments (0) |
