Local Directions: From the Bay Area: Take I-5 North In Red Bluff (130 miles N of Sacramento), take the CA-36 East/CA-99 S exit toward central Red Bluff After 2 miles, turn left to continue on CA-36 toward Chester (do NOT continue on CA-99) Drive through Chester North Shore Campground is 2 miles east of Chester on CA-36. Driving time from Sacramento is approx 3 hrs. From Reno: Take US-395 North toward Susanville Drive through Susanville on CA-36. North Shore Campground is off of CA-36, approximately 32 miles from Susanville. (If you get to Chester, you have gone 2 miles too far.) Driving time from Reno is approx 2 1/2 hrs.

nice campground by the lake

Campground is nice with most sites view to the lake. Lucky for us it's not busy now (end of August) but would feel very crowded if full. Very disappointed that the advertised wifi is only available at or in front of the office.
Don't think I would visit here again

We stayed here in a Class C Motorhome.
