Rock Quary and space listening post
Bob Vaughn
Elite
January 22, 2014
This park used to be a rock quarry. In the 50s-60s, the gov built a huge satellite space listening dish below ground level to try to pick up radio signals from outer space. The park is nicely laid out and is close to the manatees at Homosassa Springs. The pool is enclosed to keep the mosquitoes at bay.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.
