The Historic Sou'wester Lodge
The Historic Sou'wester Lodge is situated on the southern-most Beach Access on the Long Beach Peninsula in Seaview. Once about a hundred yards from the beach, the Lodge is now a 6-minute walk away, owing to the continual depositions of the mighty Columbia River. Our property has been described as eclectic and unusual, and, admittedly, "not for everyone." We have a tradition as a quiet place on the edge of the world and we like that. We have a long tradition of sponsoring cultural events in our beautiful, spacious living room. These events, ranging from chamber music to literary readings to lectures and concerts and everything in between, are publicized through our newsletter, Sou'westerings, which goes out by email about once a month.
