Beautiful river front site

Love Yosemite and waking up in the mornings in the midst of all this beauty. We had a great site by the river. A little trick to line up the RV but well worth the effort. Amazing place for campfires and outdoors fun. Facilities are pretty standard and what you would expect for a National park.

We stayed here in a Class C Motorhome.

Our stay in this park started with the ranger warning us that if we fell into the river we would never survive because of the massive amount of snow that had fallen in the winter and it was now melting, causing the increase in water flow over the rocks. The water over the rocks was quiet noisy, especially at night. We enjoyed our visit to El Capitan, plus we saw our first wild bear crossing the road.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

Was a a nice campgroud that had a few sites right by the river. Makes your spot nice and priviate on one side.

The bathrooms were clean with proper flush toilets which was a plus. The only downside was no shower facilities on site you need to go to Yosemite Village for those ammenities and you had to drive down the road a mile or two to access the dump station and water for RV hook up.

They have a shuttle to the Mariposa grove that is quite convienient since the grove does not allow larger RVs to park.

THe camp store which is down the road a mile was surprisingly well stocked and the proces were not as crazy as we expected.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

We would recommend staying at this campground if you either cannot get into a campground in Yosemite Valley or you want a quiet smaller campground (the ones in the valley tend to be very busy/noisy) or you're visiting Mariposa Grove.

We had pull through site 23. It was perfect for our 28 ft motorhome and right next to the Merced River South Fork.

It's a very basic campground, with dirt sites as are all the campgrounds in Yosemite NP. The sites are well spaced and all are no hookups. There are restrooms with flush toilets. Nice people and campground hosts. All sites have a fire ring and grill plus a picnic table. We had a great big campfire and enjoyed it a lot. No cell phone service or WiFi.

There is a free dump station and water fill up a mile down the road plus a gas station and grocery store.

We stayed here in a Class C Motorhome.
