Great campground

One thing I can say about North Pines is that nothing beats the experience of waking up to the sight of Half Dome and the other granite cliffs. Truly majestic and exhilarating to look at. It doesn't matter that this place doesn't have hookups or amenities; the beauty of this place overshadows everything. But if you're looking for the practical stuff, you'll still find it here in North Pines. The sites are large enough, but the roads are narrow and tricky to drive through. No hookups, but there's a dump station and a water source in Upper Pines.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

This is the smallest and quietest of the RV campgrounds in Yosemite Valley, which is saying something as the valley is very busy. Due to its popularity make sure you book well in advance. Try and get sites 520-526 if you don't have a big rig as it is right by Merced River.

The campground is a great place to stay to easily access the shuttle and all the trails that start in Yosemite Valley.

Sites are all no hookup, dirt and level, with picnic tables and a fire ring with a grill. Facilities at the campground are minimal, there are only Flush toilets. However, you can make your way over to Curry Village (5 min walk) to use the laundry and showers.

We got WiFi at Yosemite Lodge (you can take the shuttle to get there) which costs $6 for 24 hrs use.

We stayed here in a Class C Motorhome.
