This park was clean and very nice to stay. All the sites on the water were amazing, we stayed in 29 and there was plenty of room to explore around the site. There were deer all over the park that would graze all around you. Not much air traffic at night but did have some planes flying over head throughout the day. The site was level and the staff was very nice and helpful with questions I had about Waco. Bring your own fire wood or you will be searching for it around the park there is no camp store or anything for that matter at the park.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice views of the lake, and convenient to Waco.

Friendly and helpful hosts greet you at the gate. Park is locked from 10PM to 6AM, so you can't enter during those hours. Roads are easy to navigate but there were some low hanging branches at the entrance to our loop which contacted the top of our trailer. Sites are level and about 50% of them have some shade. Some have nice views of the water. Restrooms/showers were clean but extremely hot inside. Water pressure was 80 psi so bring a regulator for your RV. Also, there was no water for about 3 hours due to a leak. Electricity also went out for a few minutes. Much of the park was closed due to flood damage, but is scheduled to reopen in September. Park is very convenient to Waco, and is a good place to watch general aviation aircraft. There is also a good ramp for boaters.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.
