We relied heavily on the reviews here when we decided to stay at this campground for a long Fall weekend getaway. I realize that everybody has their own preferences, but this is not a place I would have stayed in if I had seen it before. Their website info and photos certainly glamorize the campground. First, it is very close to the highway so lots of traffic noise. Second, very little privacy. Third, the campground is over half filled by permanent campers from Florida. Lastly, if you don't go looking for the river you will never see it. On a positive note, the bathhouse is very clean and well-kept. There was no place to sit outside, no fire rings so no fire. It's an older campground filled with year-round rigs and a few spots for folks like us who want to spend a few nights. We won't be going back.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

On top of the great scenery and attentive staff and the great level full hookup sites, what really made this one of the best campgrounds we stayed at is the effort that they put into to make sure that those staying here have as much privacy as possible. Each of their RV sites has got concrete patios and trees to shield you away from the public. The sites were also angled so it's not only easy to get the RV into it. This actually gave us further privacy. You hardly can find any park that gives you this anymore.

We stayed here in a Class C Motorhome.
