Nice Campground With One Unfortunate Flaw

July 6, 2013
This is a clean, well-maintained, RV-only campground with full amenities and a large number of pull-through sites in either open or shady areas. There were many big rigs there. Roads and sites are gravel covered with grass on either side.

Our site was so far out-of-level that we had to use leveling blocks under our hydraulic jacks. Others had to do the same thing. All of our campsite hookups were conveniently grouped together. We were charged $45 for full 50-amp hookups and were told when we made our reservation that no discounts were available. Although I called for our reservation on the afternoon before our arrival, and there was a folk festival in nearby Kutztown, they were still able to accommodate us and were courteous and accommodating on the phone.

I was never able to get the campground's Wi-Fi to work, so I used my Verizon wireless connection instead. There was a three-foot long cable TV wire at the site with a male end on it. Since their TV wire wouldn't reach my coach and I didn't have a coupler to connect my cable TV wire with two male ends on it, I cannot report on the quality of their cable TV service.

We did note that the proximity of the campground to Interstate 78 resulted in relentless traffic noise throughout the day and night which, unfortunately, disturbed their otherwise bucolic, country atmosphere. That was their unfortunate flaw and the only reason that I didn't give them five stars.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.
