| Very nice, clean & well ran campground. | |
We stayed at Linville Falls Campground from 18 - 22 June 2014 and had a very enjoyable visit.
This is an older campground with smaller/shorter spaces. However, it's not crowded and has the basics for a very enjoyable camping experience. Located on the Blue Ridge Parkway, it's a convenient stop for touring the Blue Ridge Mountains. Overall, very well kept facilities with clean restrooms. The campground host was exceptional, as he demonstrated his personal interest in his campground, made himself available to the guests and really showed his interest in their stay. I cannot remember his name, but he's there for the remainder of the summer and he is from Hickory, NC, has a 5th wheel camper and Dodge dually truck.
In a nutshell, we really enjoyed our stay in this federal campground - clean facility, excellent host who is on top of things, not crowded and does not have "ranger patrol" like some of the state parks have (no hassles).
Few amenities (good, since we just want a quiet and clean place with few people). Exceptional host = great customer service. Definitely a campground to revisit.
We stayed here in a Travel Trailer. | | Comments (0) |

While traveling the blue ridge parkway, Stayed at another camp site near the parkway and even passed the Linville Falls Campground more then once. We decided to stop for the night. We weren't disappointed. The site are very private and quite. Our body's and soul's seem to drift into the forest surroundings and escape the everyday stress filled events. Listening and bird watch is your hobby? This is the place, one can notice, many verities of birds including: Indigo Buntings, Goldfinch, and Wood Thrush with an accessional song from a cat bird in the distance. After about 7:00 p.m. est the parkway slows down and you can finally hear your heart beat. So for a "real" escape try Linville Falls Campground today. | | Comments (0) |
