"Do as I say and not as I do."

Hypocrisy. With so many good things to say about this place, lets get rid of the bad things first. From the "TRACKROCK POLICIES" form, we were given the very first notice in bold print "Dogs must be with owner on a leash, quiet and cleaned up after at all times. Failure to control your dog could result in your being asked to leave." Well, when we arrived and was pulling our trailer to our assigned spot, there was this brown and white dog chasing us to our spot. The next morning the same dog was outside our trailer pooping, to say it nicely. After reading the policy the night before, I went to the office to inquire about the dog and go the response, "Oh, we know about the dog." It seemed the dog belonged to the campground. It seems it was a "Do as I say and not as I do." In another post, a reviewer wrote, " I'll pass on this park - probably un-vaccinated/un-vetted dog running loose depositing parasites. No thanks." Second thing which really did not bother me at all was there is no cable and no over the air TV reception, but they do have WiFi. Third thing, the pads are gravel and not exactly level. OK, for the good stuff. There is a serene and tranquil feel abut this place that has been unequaled to any other place. Plenty of room between assigned area.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

Great place to stay

We've been at Trackrock Campground and Cabins recently and can say it's a great place to stay. Reservations are now made easily via email (always our first choice) or by phone using a credit card at the initial call to secure your site/cabin. Summers here are fun-filled with walks on the trails, fishing in the lake and even potluck dinners where everyone is invited. The views are spectacular, picture taking is a must! We've found this a friendly, fun place to be and would reccomend it to any friend and/or family member.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

Great Fall Park with lots to do

We visited Trackrock CG a few years ago. It is a great place to visit in the Fall. They have full-hookup sites (including sewer and cable). The sites and roads into the campground are gravel and some can be a bit close together but overall it is nice. Most of the sites are wooded and overlook the mountains and pond. They have a fishing pond and a neat playground for the kids. They also have horse stables where you can take a guided ride for a fee. They also have hay rides in theFall, outdoor church on Sundays, and other events. The CG doesn't have online reservations and some times be hard to get on the phone. For reservations, you usually have to send a check via snail mail to reserve your spot. The CG is privately owned and the family is
