Local Directions: From Flagstaff, AZ, take US Rt. 89 north 12.5 miles to Forest Rt. 420 (across from the Sunset Crater National Monument turnoff). Turn left onto Rt. 420 and go 0.6 miles to "T" intersection (Forest Rt. 552). Turn right onto Rt. 552 and proceed 1.2 miles to campground sign. Turn right and go 2.8 miles to a "T" intersection. Turn right and go 0.1 miles to campground. NOTE: Once off US Rt. 89, expect single lane dirt roads some of which may be risky to travel on during rainy season. Check with ranger district office for road conditions.
