Local Directions: Mill Dam is located just off of Highway 40, approximately 15 miles east of Silver Springs, Florida, and 50 miles west of Ormond Beach. From 40, look for the Mill Dam/Half Moon signs about a quarter-mile from the recreational area turnoffs.

Description
Group Camping At It's Finest

In the shade of live oaks overlooking 168-acre Mill Dam Lake, Mill Dam Recreation Area offers two different experiences for the public. Mill Dam Group Campground is available for overnight stays as well as those desiring only day use rental. It is available for reservations October 1 – March 15. The remainder of the year, Mill Dam is a swimming and picnic area, open to all.
