Beautiful sites, weird military vibe

October 31, 2013
I stayed here in one of the walk-in tent sites for 2 nights in mid-October. The sites are gorgeous! Totally clean and maintained with a top of the line fire ring and great views of CO Springs from the mountain. It is the only campground I've stayed at that you hear Taps played at 10 pm, and Revielle at 6 am. I have to say the military vibe was a bit off-putting for this former Dead Head, but the campground was lovely, and I was disappointed I didn't have a chance to go for a hike there. There's a lot to see and do around Colorado Springs. It was a really nice visit.

We stayed here in a Tent.
