| Great location - park facilities need serious attention | |
4th of July isn't a time to expect a tranquil experience, and we didn't. The restrooms & showers are disgusting. Inspite of trying various times a day & night, I only managed one warm shower in 5 days. The outhouses near the campsites and the dumpsters were seriously stinky. The sites are nice and wooded, near the lake with beach & fishing. However the majority are occupied by seasonal campers who have crammed their sites with multiple campers and/or tents, multiple 4-wheelers, golf carts and trailers (does anybody walk anymore?). Cars, pickups & boat trailers are parked everywhere. I doubt if an emergency vehicle could have gotten through if needed. We were also frequently treated to choruses of barking dogs, wandering pets and fireworks near the trailers. C'mon folks - bow them off over by the lake where you don't endanger people & property. The manager was sympathetic to concerns, but the city apparently owns the place and is slow to do maintenance or make improvements even while charging $25 + per night
We stayed here in a Pop-up Trailer. | | Comments (0) |
