Local Directions: When Traveling West on Interstate 26: From I-26, take the I-526 exit to Mt. Pleasant. From 526, take the North Rhett exit. At the light, turn left. You will travel approximately 5 miles. You will come to an intersection at Redbank Rd. There will be a Burger King in front of you. Turn right onto Redbank Rd. You will cross railroad tracks as you enter Naval Weapons Station Charleston. It was during the summer months that we visited Charleston. I got set up and turned on the A/C when there was a knock at the door and the rude camp host yelled at me for laying my electric cord on the grass. I did not lay the cord on the concrete because it was hot as hell and heat and electric cords do not play well together. I have never encountered any one as rude as this host. We took our granddaughter to Patriots Point and she got a kick out of going through the submarine. We had gone in the wrong gate on the weapons station so they had to stop the traffic to let us make a U-turn to get to the right gate. All things considered we had a pleasant stay here.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.
